Usually a skeptic for shiatsu massagers, this little guy is a beast. If you like light massage you’re going to want to place a folded towel or two between this machine and your knots. If you typically ask for the masseuse to use elbows, heels and knees to dig in…Lay back into the rolling pinions of pain and eventual bliss. I weigh around 215lbs. When sitting in a chair the rolling elements put light rolling pressure which reverses direction on a timer (you cannot control direction)… For deep massage to lower mid or upper back I typically place it rollers up with a pillow on either side to put my back in the right position. I’d recommend you drink water before and after the massage because it does tenderize you in this method. The machine runs a set time and shuts itself off. If you are a bigger fellah or Lady same size or larger than me and do as in my example, the machine will run it’s course and may not immediately allow you to start it again. Let your muscles and the machine cool off a bit and try again. I’ve had this for a couple weeks and when I force it to dig into my back at full weight it seems to go into a cool off cycle.
